On the other hand, I haven't seen a ripe strawberry since Lu started toddling out the back - like the birds, she picks them three days before they are truly ready.Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14346897774489967919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3123235165783760852.post-3256288298305459922008-08-08T14:00:00.000+10:002008-08-08T14:00:00.000+10:00I am now craving wholewheat pancakes with lemon a...I am now craving wholewheat pancakes with lemon and sugar.

Lovely post, Kris. The lemons are so abundant, so juicy that I am loathe to ever move on.

My partner pees on the tree and, much to our amusment, so does the dog now. Glad you've planted one. I used to take my basket around to the neighbours offering the excess, but they all planted their own lemon trees and eventually the whole villa complex was overflowing with the things.

Also, lemon butter is my preferred use for an abundance of lemons too :)mimbleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10907569024689875694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3123235165783760852.post-22181006287574943752008-08-05T18:37:00.000+10:002008-08-05T18:37:00.000+10:00My tiny Eureka lemon (a housewarming gift from fri...My tiny Eureka lemon (a housewarming gift from friends*) stays tiny and unproductive in it's pot. I know it's not supposed to be productive yet, but still it makes me sad. The Bloke's lime tree likewise.

* I gave them my wormfarm when the Bloke and I shacked up, we had one each, we also had two of nearly everything else.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3123235165783760852.post-9097047829324788792008-08-05T14:54:00.000+10:002008-08-05T14:54:00.000+10:00Kris, you are such a hoot. While our yard was also missing the customary lemon tree I maintain a healthy supply by asking all our neighbours for their unwanted fruit (they seem glad not to have to pick it off their lawns).Angiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17473729350762852125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3123235165783760852.post-62288427293448942092008-08-05T14:08:00.000+10:002008-08-05T14:08:00.000+10:00I am so jealous. Our (rather decrepit) lemon tree ...I am so jealous. Our (rather decrepit) lemon tree had to go with the renovation - on account of the dining room being on top of it. I intended from day one to put some citrus (lemon and lime and maybe a mandarin) in big pots, since actual yard space is at a premium. It still hasn't happened 5 years later. I was this close to it last week, but I couldn't find a soul in the nursery to help me decide on a variety/pot size combination.

Enjoy the lemony goodness1Arianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17977679825245376111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3123235165783760852.post-66503594796291593032008-08-05T10:36:00.000+10:002008-08-05T10:36:00.000+10:00yeah I'm with you on the lemons. A few years ago we planted a Eureka which has produced well this year.

Regards, Garygaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07724194046009036993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3123235165783760852.post-17358538465765972962008-08-05T05:45:00.000+10:002008-08-05T05:45:00.000+10:00Insanely envious.Insanely envious.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07157804056370219398noreply@blogger.com
