Musn't let my son see these photos, he has been nagging me to go to the snow for weeks now. We don't ski (sadly) so a trip to snow feels like a monumental effort for not quite enough reward.
It´s funny seeing the snow when we spent the day in the sun. I sat and had a picnic with 2 other Australians in the backyard while the children jumped on the trampoline. When I read your blog, everything seems so near as I relate and enjoy it so much, but little things like this remind me that I really am on the other side of the world.
Lovely - I can feel that icy wind ripping down the Mountain, chilling my bones as I walk through Salamanca on my way home to Battery Point (stopping for something warm at Knoppwoods)... Those were the days.
Very jealous. I am a "suffering" Sydneysider in that I love the snow and hate the humidity. Now, how to get my husband to relocate to Tasmania - maybe in retirement!
hello happy snow bunny, please do come around for chats and drinks . . I am offline at home at present, so am a bit slow off the mark re emails/electronica communication. . . but pink room lady's house looks into my backgarden if that helps so drop by! G

The snow melted the day before I went down to Hobart a couple of weeks ago. The day after I left it snowed again. Was so sad to miss it.

But that does look like fun!

Lovely pics Kris. I love Nell's rosy nose!
Makes me want my hot water bottle though. Brrr! Though Mt Wellington was my favourite part of Hobart.
