Surprising things:: my baby turned one yesterday

We celebrated by watching the heavy machinery at work in town and eating chocolate eclairs, apple turnovers, snowballs and jelly slice from perhaps the only remaining old style bakery in the country. A good time was had by all.

Happy birthday to you little one and I am glad you are continuing to post.

From one mum struggling with tiredness issues to another - you are not whinging; a writerly outlet is definitely good for you. But I know what you are saying - sometimes it just feels like you are just saying the same thing over again - I know I do! But it's because most every other day I am a walking zombie and I only have to get up at 6.00am and don't go to work ouside the home!

I agree - much needs to be pondered as to the why's and wherefore's of why we are so tired - makes me a very poor advertisement for slow motherhood!

Happy Birthday to Nell! and Happy Motherwishes to you!(I don't know what to call else them, but I think that mothers deserve a special celebration on their babe's birthday too)xoxJ

Exactly Janet. I've taken to giving parents a bottle of bubbles for their kids' first birthdays for precisely that reason.

I hope you have bubbles for today Kris, and that we all have another reason to pop corks on Saturday.
