Whaaaa?

Once upon a time I was Ms. Since becoming sadly over-educated I go by Dr (the proper kind, not the medical type). So why is my daughter calling me 'Mrs Mum'?.

Lu also calls me "Mother Fox", which I don't mind so much, as it sounds a little sexy, somehow.

Hello, just recently found your blog via pea soup. How about Dr. Foxy Mum? does that work for you?

Oh, this is so funny.

I love "Mother Fox."

Dr Foxy Mum is okay. As long as I get my Dr (I worked hard for it!) and any suggestion of foxiness is more than welcome, spurious though it may be. ...

She's a funny chick, my girl (my little kitten).

Hiya,
also a recent arrival via Pea Soup...I'm still in the mumma and mummy phase of names. Looking fwd to more interesting tags in future! (I agree. Anything with foxy in it is good.)

Don't get me wrong, everyone, there's nothing wrong with Mrs or Mum. It's just that both together are so far from the titles I adopt myself, I wonder where they come from, and if I am soon in for a 'why aren't you like other Mummies?" conversation.

Lu also calls me "Mummy Tyranasaurous Rex', which has a real kick-arse quality to it, and might be useful in the future. ...

I still have trouble remembering that I'm a Mrs...5 years and counting! Nothing wrong with being both Mrs and Mum, just a mental identity shift required.

Ferocious dino names are cool too.
My daughter just tries to get me to dress like a princess. Every Day.

The kid calls me Dad. And I'm pretty sure he does it on purpose to tease me, because he can (apparently) identify me as Mum in a photo when I'm not there.
